The 1997 Braveheart Convention was based in the Stirling Highland Hotel, Stirling, Scotland, from Friday 12th September, 1997 to Sunday 14th September, 1997.
There was a full Convention programme of events over the three days, centred on the Highland Hotel and nearby locations, with visits to historic sites.

It was probably the biggest-ever gathering of Braveheart enthusiasts, and allowed many people who have shared their feelings about Braveheart via the Internet to meet for the first time in the unique circumstances of the celebrations for the 700th anniversary of William Wallace's greatest military victory at the Battle of Stirling Bridge, and the successful outcome to the Scottish Devolution Referendum.
