In 1745, during Bonnie Prince Charlie's
fight to win the British Crown, which ended at the Battle of Culloden, young Jeannie Main
is a tough little fisher lass in Nairn. A gypsy warns her of a greater fate than she
expects. Why should she four times come near hanging? How can she, a poor working girl,
decide the fate of two kings? And how, and why, should she try to ride the Kelpie, the
great water monster?

This was my first book, which won a
competition and starred me off as a writer. It's fast-moving and full of adventure. |
